Nearing its premiere, Reborn Rich proceeds to an avalanche of exciting promotions with character sketches, posters and teaser videos.
Reborn Rich chronicles the story of a devoted secretary of a chaebol family who was framed for fund embezzlement. He dies but he got a rebirth as the youngest son of the rich conglomerate company.
To be directed by Jeong Dae Yoon (W, I’m Not A Robot), the script will be penned by Kim Tae Hee (Designated Survivor 60 Days, Sungkyunkwan Scandal) with JTBC Studio backing up the project. It is based on a web novel of the same name.
Challenging another imaginatively conceived role, Song Joong Ki suits up as the main character, Yoon Hyun-woo. He is falsely accused of being disloyal to the Sunyang family and is thrown away.
But he gets a chance to be reborn as the youngest son of the very same evil family, Jin Do-joon. With his knowledge of future events, he goes to exact revenge by taking over the Sunyang group.
Meanwhile, Lee Sung Min takes the role of Jin Yang-cheol, the head of Sunyang Group. He is also the head of the Sunyang family and came from a poor background. Known for his relentless cruelty, he has a quenchless craving for money after rising to the top of the business world.
Lastly, Shin Hyun Bin takes on the role of Seo Min-young, a prosecutor in the anti-corruption investigation department from a prestigious family of lawyers. For the realization of justice, she is a tenacious warrior who crosses the border between escapism and illegality and is nicknamed the grim reaper of the Sunyang family.
Acquainting the viewers more with Reborn Rich lead cast, the character posters are unveiled sequentially.
Hyun-woo hints at his retribution journey with the text on his poster conveying his intended hidden revenge.
“I’ll show you what revenge is crueler than death.”
Meanwhile, Jin Yang-cheol overwhelms the viewers with his heavy charisma. Building an empire that is Sunyang Group, he is described as someone who favors his child that is like a lamb.
Lastly, Seo Min-young evokes a determined mission to champion justice as a prosecutor and take down Sunyang.
A Pre-Meditated Rebellion

Hyun-woo introduces gimself as Jin Do-jun, the grandson of Sunyang Group chairman Jin Yang-cheol.
Showing a friendly and bright persona, he reveals his true identity. “I’m going to buy Sunyang,” he declares.
With his knowledge of the future, expectations are heightened as to how he will scheme his grand design to defeat Sunyang Group.
In his character teaser video, Jin Yang-cheol’s character becomes clearer. Introducing his mantra: “It’s not a waste of life for a penny.” – he believes that money is justice.
But will a new deal he will jump into protect his established riches and prestige?
Compelled to uncover the dirt of Sunyang Group, Seo Min-young confronts a Herculean task. Her life is turned upside down by a phone call from Jin Do-jun.
They are two people trying to choose each other for their own goals at the two extremes in the judgment of the law and the war of succession.
Attention is also focused on what kind of storm Seo Min-young’s movement will bring, and how she will become entangled with Jin Do-jun.
Reborn Rich premieres on November 18 at 10:30 PM on JTBC. It will be aired thrice a week from Friday to Sunday. International fans can watch it on Viu!
